Hey, I’m Fabienne and I am a Yoga teacher and I offer a gentle, slow yoga
practice for stress reduction, self-care and mental wellbeing.
I am from Germany and studied Social work there. During my time at University, I first got in touch with yoga. Having always been interested in personal development, learning more about myself and being a very reflective person, I was instantly drawn to yoga, as it was more than just an exercise. Yoga helped me settle my anxious mind, get to know myself better and reconnect to myself.
After University I moved to the South of the UK to live with my partner and now also our cute little hamster. I started my Yoga teacher training straight when I moved here and graduated 2018. I loved teaching from the beginning and was always drawn to a more gentle, slow practice. I developed this with further CPD trainings in Chair Yoga, Restorative Yoga and Trauma informed Yoga.
Through various jobs I have gained experience in working with vulnerable people from all walks of lives. I am experienced in holding space for individual’s needs and bring my work experience as well as further training in Mental Health, Trauma and much more into my yoga classes.
Raising awareness around Mental Health is extremely important to me. Having experienced burnout myself as well as phases of anxiety and depression, I know how important it is to look after our mental wellbeing and to be kind to ourselves.
I believe in slowing down, in a very hectic, loud world to slow down, let go of stress, make time for self-care and to reconnect to ourselves. Yoga is a wonderful tool to do this and has been a great help along my own journey.
Brining together my different experiences, I know work in a trauma informed way and offer very gentle, inward focused yoga practices with a focus on the self-study part of yoga. The more we listen to ourselves and the more we learn about ourselves and how our minds and bodies work, the better-informed decisions we can make in our lives. It is very empowering to know how to look after our mental wellbeing, when we are overwhelmed, stressed or anxious.
And it all starts with slowing down, listening and being kind to ourselves.
